Queen Mary University of London is delighted to be working with the Fulbright Commission to support a Fulbright-Queen Mary Postgraduate Award as part of the prestigious Fulbright Awards Programme.
The Fulbright Commission, founded on 22 September 1948, aims to foster mutual cultural understanding through educational exchange between the US and the UK. The global Fulbright Programme is one of the most prestigious awards programmes world-wide operating in over 150 countries, with over 300,000 alumni. Approximately 15,000 UK nationals have studied in the US and over 12,000 US nationals in the UK on the Commission’s educational exchange programmes.
As one of the Fulbright Commission’s university partners, Queen MAry is committed to promoting these aims, which form an important part of our international outlook.
The awards A Fulbright-Queen Mary postgraduate award will be offered each year to candidates wishing to pursue a one-year Master’s degree in any discipline.
Award holders will receive full overseas tuition fees and a generous stipend of c. £15000 which is intended as a contribution towards general maintenance costs (accommodation, travel, subsistence, etc.) while in the UK.
Award holders will also be invited to participate in a programme of diverse cultural activities, a mentoring programme, and a series of networking events, which are run throughout the year by the Fulbright Commission.
Awards are open to US citizens who are not currently resident in the UK.
