The Hilda Marindale Educational Trust
Queen Margaret University Edinburgh
The Hilda Marindale Educational Trust offers grants to female identifying British Nationals who are studying a course with the purposes of following a profession or career where women are underrepresented. Grants of up to £3,000 are offered. Please note, students who received an award from the trust the previous academic year are unable to apply for a second consecutive year.
Miss Hilda Martindale CBE (1875 - 1952), first established The Hilda Martindale Educational Trust in order to help ‘Women of the British Isles whose intention it is to fit themselves for some profession or career likely to be of use or value to the community’.
Today, the Trust is ran and administered by the Council of Royal Holloway, as part of the University of London. The Council is responsible for appointing Exhibition Trustees who make awards on behalf of the Trust.
The Trust offer awards of up to £3,000 for the period of one academic year. The Trust prefers courses that begin in September/October, at the beginning of the UK academic year, although exceptions can be made.
