Overview

You are guaranteed this scholarship if you are Indigenous Australian and intending to study an undergraduate or graduate (coursework) degree at Monash.

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Commencing a new undergraduate or graduate (coursework) degree at a Monash campus in Australia*.
  • Are an Indigenous Australian** includes Diploma of Tertiary Studies, Diploma of Higher Education and Monash Transition Program.

To be eligible you must provide a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate or a certified Statutory Declaration form to the William Cooper Institute. This can be emailed to wci-study@monash.edu. If you have any queries please contact the William Cooper Institute on 9902 4972.

Benefits:

  • $5000 per annum (48 credit points of study) for the duration of your degree. Number offered

  • All eligible students who are not receiving another scholarship will receive an offer.

Selection criteria:

  • Awarded to an Indigenous Australian.

To retain this scholarship:

  • You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50 each semester.
  • You must engage with the William Cooper Institute (WCI) at the commencement of your studies and sign up to WCI's Indigenous Academic Enhancement Program at the beginning of each semester of study.
  • This scholarship can be held with any other Indigenous scholarship.
