Overview
The International Student Work Opportunity (ISWO) is a joint initiative between the Student Success Centre and Student Financial Aid & Scholarships to provide international students the occasion to gain valuable Canadian work experience within the University and beyond.
Types of Opportunities: Jobs under this program are paid positions (payroll or honorariums) including but not limited to:
- Work/Study positions – ISWO Positions Research positions Co-op positions (Career and Co-op Office and ISWO Coordinator prior approval required)
- External options (ISWO Coordinator prior approval required) Experiential Learning Opportunities – where funding is available and with prior approval.
NOTE: Students must reside in Canada during their entire employment period to accept a job opportunity.
Eligibility
Qualifications
- Applicant must be a minimum academic level 1.
- Applicant must be an international student.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate student.
- Applicant must be pursuing a Bachelor's, Co-op, Honours Co-op, Honours or Year One program.
- Applicant must be a visa student.
- Applicant must have read, understood and agreed to the Student Declaration.
- Applicant must be enrolled.
- Applicant must be a current student.
