Overview

What you'll be studying:

You will be full time, studying 100-level courses under the Bachelor of Agricultural Science or the Bachelor of Horticultural Science.

Eligibility

We're looking for up to forty first year students from our partner high schools who will be studying agriculture or horticulture at Massey University.

You will preferably be completing your secondary school study at one of the following partner High Schools:

Feilding High School Francis Douglas Memorial College Gisborne Boys High school Hamilton Boys High School Hastings Boys High school Hato Pāora College Hawera High School Horowhenua College Inglewood High School Iona College Kaipara College Kuranui College Lindisfarne College Manukura Mt Albert Grammar Napier Boys High School New Plymouth Boys High school New Plymouth Girls High school Ngatawa Diocesan School Palmerston North Boys High School Palmerston North Girls High School Paraparaumu College Pukekohe High school Rangitikei College Rangitoto College Rathkeale College Ruapehu College St Matthews Collegiate St Paul’s Collegiate Tauranga Boys College Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu Te Aute College Tararua College Wairarapa College Whanganui Collegiate Whangarei Girls High School Applicants who have studied at other New Zealand secondary schools may apply but preference will be given to students from the listed partner schools.

Application checklist:

Include the following with your application:

  • transcripts for your secondary school results to date. If you are studying NCEA please attach your School results Summary from the NZQA website
  • a 200-word statement on why you are interested in studying agriculture and horticulture and what your career goals are.

Selection considerations:

When choosing our recipients, we will consider your NCEA Level 2 (or equivalent) results. We will also consider your interests in your chosen study and your career intentions.
