Who we're looking for:

We're looking for candidates who are undertaking research in the Wildlife and Ecology Group at Massey University's Manawatū campus. You will be facing financial hardship.

What you'll be studying:

This is a postgraduate scholarship. You will be studying ecology.

Eligibility

You must:

  • study on Manawatū campus
  • be studying in a specific subject area
  • be facing financial hardship
  • be an enrolled Massey University student.

Application checklist:

Include the following with your application:

  • a research outline
  • your CV
  • your academic transcripts for any tertiary study completed outside of Massey University
  • an academic reference, preferably from your supervisor or a member of your research team
  • a personal statement that identifies your financial circumstances and clearly demonstrates need. Please provide an overview of your financial circumstances (a clear picture, but not necessarily fine detail) which shows that you have a greater need than your peers

Selection considerations:

When choosing our recipient, we will primarily consider your level of financial hardship. Your academic achievements may also be considered. Preference may be given to those working on a field-based project as part of a team committed to conservation. This bursary may not be granted each and every year.
