Overview

Hamza Mustafa was a 16-year-old student who died in the Christchurch mosque shootings on 15 March 2019. Hamza’s ambition was to study veterinary science and work in the veterinary field. This bursary was established, with approval from his mother, in memory of him. The bursary was made possible due to the fundraising efforts of the staff at the School of Veterinary Science, Massey University, resulting in a large contribution from the VetNZ group, along with other corporate and individual sponsors both within New Zealand and overseas.
