Overview

One scholarship will be awarded to a 2023 graduate of Fine Art at the Manchester School of Art, who have a professional practice in painting.

The recipient will receive a bursary of £8,000 for the academic year 2023/24.

The bursary shall be used by the recipient to further develop their professional practice and cover the cost of acquiring studio space and materials, giving the recipient time to develop their practice and build relationships with fellow artists.

Eligibility

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Before applying please ensure that you meet the required eligibility criteria and read and understand the key principles and terms and conditions.

To apply you must meet the following eligibility:

  • have graduated from the BA (Hons) Fine Art course at the Manchester School of Art in 2023.
  • have a professional practice in painting

HOW TO APPLY

You can apply now for the Haworth Charitable Trust Manchester’s Artist Community Studio Space Scholarship for 2023/24. Please apply by 1st October 2023. Any applications submitted after this time will not be reviewed. The award may not be deferred.

To apply you will need to complete the application form and provide a statement, no longer than a single side of A4, on how you would benefit from the award and your plans to be based in Manchester. This should be accompanied by two images of your work.
