A scholarship to support rural and remote students who are from disadvantaged backgrounds studying an undergraduate degree.
About the scholarship:
The Macquarie University Accommodation Scholarship assists rural and remote students from disadvantaged backgrounds, including demonstrated financial hardship, with the costs associated with higher education.
Duration:
This scholarship is awarded for up to four years, provided you continue to meet eligibility criteria.
In addition to rural or regional background and financial hardship, consideration may be given to factors including an Indigenous background, capacity to triumph over hardship, carer responsibilities, non English-speaking background, long term disability or medical condition, or ongoing effects of trauma and abuse. | The successful applicant for this scholarship must be:
-An Australian citizen or Permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen
- Studying or intending to study full-time in an undergraduate course
- Able to demonstrate financial hardship; applicants need to be in receipt of Youth Allowance or any other means tested Commonwealth support payment.
