Academic Excellence Scholarship

The University offers a range of scholarships to reward success and to encourage able students to reach their potential regardless of background or personal situation. This section will give you information about the current undergraduate scholarships available for UK and ROI students starting a course in the 2023/24 academic year.

Applicants to the University will be able to apply for these scholarships via the applicant area of the website once you have submitted your UCAS application.

Deadline for applications is 29 September 2023. All applicants will be notified of the outcome before October 28.

Amount awarded: £1,000 each year for the duration of your course excluding placement years (terms and conditions apply)

Number of scholarships awarded: 85 per year (maximum)

Open to: UK (home) or ROI students

Not open to: Students who already have an honours degree, international students, students on a course that attracts additional funding via the NHS Learner Support Fund, postgraduate students.

Who should apply?

You must achieve a minimum of three grade As at A2 level or equivalent (144 UCAS points from three subjects). This level of academic excellence will need to be sustained throughout your course You must have LJMU as your first choice (firm) via UCAS
