Overview

Purpose

The Lincoln University International Pathway Merit scholarship was established in 2018 to support academically proven International students who have not previously studied at Lincoln University.

Number and Value

Scholarships to the value of NZ$2,500 are available for Semester 1 or Semester 2, Summer School Semester and are payable by way of a credit to the recipients’ Lincoln University Tuition Fees account upon confirmed enrolment in one of the following qualifications: 2.1. Certificate in University Studies, or 2.2. Diploma in University Studies (three-semester pathway), or 2.3. Diploma in University Studies (two-semester pathway).

Eligibility

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship an applicant must:

3.1. Be an International student who has not previously studied in an academic programme at Lincoln university, and 3.2. Meet the academic and English language requirements for admission to their chosen programme at Lincoln University as specified in Regulation 2, and 3.3. Meet all necessary immigration requirements to study in New Zealand, and 3.4. Not hold any other scholarship.

Selection Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit

Tenure

6.1. The scholarship shall be tenable for one academic semester. 6.2. The scholarship is not tenable with any other scholarship, bursary or award. 6.3. During the course of their studies, the successful recipient may be required to participate in, or support any on-campus international and promotional activities as specified by Lincoln University. 6.4. Previous recipients of this scholarship are not eligible to reapply in subsequent years. 6.5. No deferrals of this scholarship are permitted. Students must commence in the next academic semester.

Note: An academic semester is defined as Semester 1 (February) or Semester 2 (July) or Summer School (November). Students eligible for this scholarship can commence studies in Summer School Semester or Semester One or Two.
