Overview
A scholarship funded by the Marlborough Provincial Executive of the Federated Farmers’ in memory of the late John Chaytor.
- Awarded annually from 1979 to assist students from the Marlborough District to take a diploma or degree course in agriculture or horticulture at Lincoln University.
- The annual value of the scholarship is $700 to assist with fees preferably during the first year at Lincoln. The period of tenure for each scholarship awarded is one year.
- Applicants are required to have carried out any prerequisite training for the course in which they wish to hold the scholarship.
- Although preference will be given to sons and daughters of Marlborough members of Federated Farmers’, farm cadets, members of the Young Farmers’ Club and all other applicants will be given full consideration.
- The scholarship will not be awarded to the holder of any other scholarship in the same year.
- The award is made by a selection committee consisting of: • The President and Treasurer of the Marlborough Provincial Executive of Federated Farmers’ • The Marlborough District Chairman of Young Farmers’ Clubs • The Vice Chancellor of Lincoln University or nominee.
- Application forms are available from the Marlborough Provincial Secretary, Federated Farmers’ of NZ (Inc), PO Box 669, Blenheim; or the Scholarships Office, Lincoln University. Applications close with the Secretary, Federated Farmers’ on 31 October each year.
