Barenbrug
Barenbrug is proud to have been part of New Zealand’s pastoral landscape for over 30 years helping farmers grow the best pasture. Barenbrug is 100% committed to New Zealand’s agricultural future, through providing Kiwi farmers products, information, and support to improve farm outcomes. Innovative plant breeding and research programmes have created some of this country’s best pastures, all of which are backed by the experience and expertise of Barenbrug staff. Barenbrug NZ has, since the beginning, been linked into the Royal Barenbrug Group, a fourth-generation family business based in the Netherlands. This link provides Barenbrug with unique access to global science, knowledge and plant genetics.
Shared connections
Barenbrug and Lincoln University have many existing and prior connections, both formally and informally. Both organisations are proud to share, as a member of their community, Mr Selwyn Manning. Selwyn, alumnus of Lincoln University and Bledisloe medallist, is founder of Agriseeds – Barenbrug NZ’s origin company. Many LU alumni and associate alumni are current staff of Barenbrug. There are prior and current research projects that have been conducted by Lincoln University staff and students, overseen by the Lincoln University Research Management Office.
