Alliance Group Shareholder Bursary

As part of Alliance Groups commitment to supporting the future of young people interested in the meat industry, primary production and other associated industries we are pleased to advertise for this year’s Shareholder Bursary.
About the Bursary:
The Shareholder Bursary is open to those who have a parent/guardian or primary carer who are Alliance Group Shareholders and enrolled for a full-time course of study at a University or other agreed establishment within New Zealand. • The value of the bursary is $1,500 per year of study remaining. • We offer one Shareholder Bursary per annum. • The bursary is tenable for a maximum of three years and may be held concurrently with other scholarships or bursaries. • A wide interpretation will be given to the relative course of study and would include agriculture, engineering, science, veterinary science, accounting, marketing, computer science, food technology and management. • The successful person will be selected by representatives of Alliance Group. • The company may refrain from making an award if it finds no candidate of sufficient merit. • Successful recipients may be offered the opportunity to enter the Alliance Group Graduate Programme after completion final year of study
Application and Selection Process
Alliance Group reviews all applications and we will be in touch with shortlisted applicants to discuss their application. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend a short interview either in person in Christchurch or via Teams.
To apply for this Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:
• The parents / primary carers of the Shareholder applicant must be actively supplying AGL. • You may be entering any year of study • Enrolled for a full-time course of study at a University or other agreed establishment within New Zealand.
Selection Criteria:
- A wide interpretation will be given to the relative course of study and would include agriculture, engineering, science, veterinary science, accounting, marketing, computer science, food technology and management.
- The recipient will be selected each year by representatives of Alliance Group.
- The company may refrain from making an award if it finds no candidate of sufficient merit.
- Successful recipients may be offered the opportunity to enter the Alliance Group Graduate Programme after completion final year of study.
