One Fulbright Postgraduate Student Award is available each year for an American student to undertake a non-clinical PhD programme at King's College London.
Award details The Fulbright Commission, founded on 22 September 1948, aims to foster mutual cultural understanding through educational exchange between the US and the UK. The global Fulbright Programme is one of the most prestigious awards programmes world-wide operating in over 150 countries, with over 300,000 alumni. Approximately 15,000 UK nationals have studied in the US and over 12,000 US nationals in the UK on the Commission’s educational exchange programmes.
The Fulbright King's College London Award covers any non-clinical PhD programme offered by the university.
Award value
- Full tuition waiver
- Three years living stipend equivalent to the yearly UKRI rate, which in 2022/23 was £18,062
- $1500 travel stipend
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must be citizens or nationals of the United States of America at the time of application. Permanent residents are not eligible.
- Applicants must have a conferred bachelor's degree or equivalent before the start of the grants.
- Applicants may hold a J.D. at the time of application.
