This scholarship is for high school seniors in Spokane County who plan on studying an art-related major.
Applicants must be planning to attend full time at a public or private 2- or 4-year, or vocational college or university with an interest in Art, Art Education, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Advertising, Marketing, Photography, Cinematography, Publishing or Graphic Arts. This is not intended for performing art students.
Talent, discipline, commitment, passion, experience and ability to express through art are primary factors for consideration. Samples of artwork are required for the scholarship program.
Previous Harold Balazs Creating Wonder Scholarship recipients are eligible to re-apply. The application opens the first week of December. The application is March 3.
Each scholarship fund has specific eligibility criteria that were defined by the donor when the fund was established. Please read through the specific criteria to see if you are eligible for any of the funds. Generally, to be eligible to apply, a student must be planning to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or at an accredited vocational or technical institution in the United States. Unless otherwise noted in the scholarship guidelines, students applying must be home school or high school students in one of the 20 counties that make up the Innovia Foundation service area.
