Overview
The Jenny Cornelius-Woltz Memorial Scholarship was established in 2006 to honor the life and memory of Jenny Cornelius-Woltz by providing scholarship awards to one or more deserving students graduating from John Glenn High School, with a primary interest in nursing. The scholarship awards are to defray the expenses associated with attaining a post-secondary education at an accredited institution, in the field of nursing; or alternatively, within the medical professions more broadly, should no graduating seniors apply and/or qualify whose primary interest is in nursing.
Eligibility
- Those applying must be graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited post-secondary institution offering nursing programs, or alternatively, training within the fields of medicine.
- Priority consideration will be given to those who demonstrate financial need, ethical character, and participation in extracurricular activities; as well as potential for success as demonstrated by an individual’s commitment and desire to achieve professional goals in the area of nursing or related medical fields.
