Margaret Fay Fuller PhD top up Scholarship

Description:
A generous donation by Barbara Reeves Hughes in memory of her dear friend the late Margaret Fay Fuller has enabled the establishment of an endowed scholarship called the Margaret Fay Fuller Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Cancer Research.
The purpose of this scholarship is to support postgraduate research in any area of cancer research.
Benefits:
One scholarship to the value of $5,000 will be available to be awarded annually to students enrolled on either a full-time or part-time basis.
The scholarship will be payable as a stipend top-up to research higher degree students in receipt of a postgraduate research award.
Applicants for the scholarship must:
- be Australian citizens or permanent residents of South Australia; and
- be enrolled in their final year of a Higher Degree by Research at Flinders University and be undertaking research in any area of cancer research.
Selection Criteria:
Selection will be made by the Flinders University Scholarships Committee.
The Scholarship will be determined on the following selection criteria:
- Be able to demonstrate the extent to which the research project will contribute to knowledge about the prevention, treatment and/or cure of cancer or optimising the health and wellbeing of cancer survivors;
- Demonstrate the of maturity of their research (degree to which the thesis is prepared in Draft, Publications, conference Papers presented, etc);
- Demonstrate that the project is on time for a timely completion
- Provision of a letter of support from the principal supervisor.
