Overview

The South Shore University Women's Club Bursary was created through the generosity of the South Shore University Women's Club (SSUWC). The SSUWC, a member of the Canadian Federation of University Women, is devoted to encouraging women to seek higher education, and the monies awarded by the SSUWC are raised locally through voluntary contributed of time and effort.

In addition to its focus on education, the SSUWC is involved in public affairs, working to raise the social, economic, and political status of women and girls as well as to improve public education, the environment, peace and human rights for society as a whole.

Restricted to female students enrolled in Concordia's Mature Entry program. Preference will be given to students from the South Shore (or Montreal, if there are no candidates from the South Shore). Open to full-time and part-time Canadian citizens, permanent residents and international students, the award is non renewable.

Eligibility

Concordia offers need-based In-Course Bursaries to returning Bachelor's students in the Fall semester.

Applicants are notified of the results after the Financial Aid and Awards Office receives results from the bursary committee.
