Ms. Zahida Syed Fine Arts Entrance Bursary

The Ms. Zahida Syed Fine Arts Entrance Bursary was established in 2016 by Concordia University alumnus Husnain Syed (BEng Building Engineering 1998) in honour of his mother, Ms. Zahida Syed, who sacrificed everything for his education and success, and who passed on her sensitivity for beauty and art. This Entrance Bursary is intended to help students newly admitted to the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at Concordia University, in any discipline of study.

Open to full-time and part-time Canadian citizens, permanent residents and international students in the Faculty of Fine Arts, this bursary is not renewable.

The Entrance Bursary Program is designed to provide financial support to newly admitted students to an Undergraduate Bachelor's degree program in any discipline of study.

Application deadline The 2024-2025 Undergraduate Entrance Bursary Program will open on March 3, 2024.

To apply to the Entrance Bursary program, an application form must be submitted online along with various supporting documents. Eligibility is determined following a financial needs test, a review of the candidate’s academic ranking as assigned during admission application processing, and a holistic appreciation of the applicant’s personal statements on the entrance bursary application form.

The Entrance Bursary application opens on March 3, 2024 to April 3, 2024.
