Overview

This award is in honour of Lynn Doucet, mother of Matthew James BFA '16, who devoted her life to ensure her children find their dreams and to make it a reality. When on family vacation in his youth, she would give him a disposable camera to take photos with. Those photos framed his future with the seed of creativity. Of course we all need more than just a seed. Concordia's Department of Photography is objectively exclusive for a multitude of reasons and finances should not be one of them. If you have the creative skill to make the cut and the perseverance to aspire towards a lens-based career, then this award will help you buy all the disposable cameras you need toward that dream. Open to full-time and part-time Canadian citizens, permanent residents and international students, this bursary is renewable.
