LOLA WRIGHT NETTLESHIP (NÉE ARMSTRONG) MATURE STUDENT BURSARY
Concordia University
The Lola Wright Nettleship (Née Armstrong) Mature Student Bursary is intended to encourage and reward mature students newly enrolled in any undergraduate program at the University.
The Lola Wright Nettleship (Née Armstrong) Mature Student Bursary is an initiative started by Sir George Williams University alumnus, Dr. David N. Nettleship (BA’65). The bursary is established in honour of his mother, Mrs. Lola Nettleship (née Armstrong), who began her education as a mature student and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree on 28 May 1967 (SGW ’67) after raising her children and while working full-time at the National Film Board of Canada in Montreal. She was a woman dedicated to education with a passion for the power of knowledge. On behalf of his mother, Dr. Nettleship would like to continue to inspire that same love of learning among other mature students who wish to advance their education through university studies (day and/or evening courses) leading to an undergraduate degree.
Open to newly admitted Mature Student in a full-time course of study leading to a Bachelor degree at the University. Recipients must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. This bursary is renewable.
