Lise-Hélène Larin Scholarship in Drawing
Concordia University
Established in 2011 through the generosity of Lise-Hélène Larin, multidisciplinary artist and researcher in visual and media art, and a part-time instructor at Concordia University since 1984. Since 2000 she has exhibited her work in Montréal, in France, the United States, Belgium, and Germany. In 2001 Lise-Hélène Larin received an award of excellence for her research work in 3D animation. In 2011, she obtained a PhD in Études et practiques des arts from Université du Québec à Montréal.
Candidates for the Lise-Hélène Larin Scholarship in Drawing must be Full-Time or Part-Time students enrolled in the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a Major in Painting and Drawing, and Applicants must be registered in a 300 or 400 level Drawing course at the University. Selection of recommendation of recipients (1 or more) of this scholarship will be made by Faculty members from the Department of Studio Arts. Selection criteria include, but are not limited to, students who are consideration of whether a candidate employs an inventive approach to using 2D space using figurative and non-figurative elements of form in their work. This scholarship is not renewable.
In-course bursaries Concordia offers need-based In-Course Bursaries to returning Bachelor's students in the Fall semester.
Application deadline The 2024-2025 Undergraduate In-Course Bursary Program will be open April 1, 2024.
In-Course Bursaries are awarded by the Financial Aid and Awards Office to previously admitted students following an application-based competition that includes a financial need test and holistic committee review. Applicants are notified of the results after the Financial Aid and Awards Office receives results from the bursary committee.
The In-Course Bursary program normally open April 1, 2024 and will close on May 15, 2024.
