Fred Schade Memorial Bursary
Concordia University
The Fred Schade Memorial Bursary is intended to encourage and support deserving undergraduate students newly admitted to the Diversity and the Contemporary World or Sustainability Studies programs at the Loyola College of Diversity and Sustainability.
The award was created to honour the retirement of Dr. Rosemarie Schade, and in loving memory of her nephew Fred Schade. Dr. Schade is a Professor Emeritus in history and served as the Principal of the Loyola College of Diversity and Sustainability. Fred Schade was light-hearted and loving, intellectually curious, adventurous, a world traveler, mountaineer, cyclist, joker and someone who pushed many envelopes to see how far they could go. He lives forever in the heart of his family and friends.
