Coach Pete & Diane Regimbald Football Awards
Concordia University
Coach Pete started his university career in 1968, as a full-time assistant coach to the legendary Alouette and Loyola Warrior George Dixon. He is best known as an authority on special teams play, and is credited with key support for the Stingers' record-setting 1998 campaign - when the team finished in first place in the regular season, won the Dunsmore Cup as Ontario-Quebec champions, and triumphed at the university's first-ever Atlantic Bowl. Coach Pete Regimbald is retiring from the field after 50 years and to honour his extraordinary career the Coach Pete and Diane Regimbald Football Award will be established. The award will benefit deserving student athletes on the Concordia Stingers football team.
