Catherine Polson Bursary for Political Science
Concordia University
Catherine Ann Polson (1990-2021; BA ‘13) was a powerful force for good in her community. Her dedication to service took many forms, including an impressive candidacy with the Green Party of Quebec and being crowned Princess for the Montreal Irish season. She was a volunteer, a feminist, and an ally to many in the Montreal community. Although her life was short, she wasted none of it. She made a difference. Catherine had a deep passion for Political Science and saw political involvement as an act of community service. She wanted to see people pursue politics for the right reasons: to serve others and to build stronger, more just communities. Catherine’s family, friends, and community have established this bursary to honour her love of Political Science and her belief that it should be used in positive changemaking. We are humbled to support her fellow scholars in creating a better world.
This in-course bursary is for Canadian and permanent residents only, who are either Full-Time or Part-Time students in the Department of Political Science within the Faculty of Arts and Science.
