Ben Cohen Butterfly Bursary
Concordia University
The Ben Cohen Butterfly Bursary was created in 2014 in loving memory of Ben Cohen to celebrate his passion for life, his pursuit of wisdom, and his love of studying at Concordia University. The bursary is funded by family and friends who share Ben's distinct ideals, ethics & beliefs which defined his unique character. A former student from Concordia's Department of Communication Studies from 2010 to 2013, Ben highly appreciated the support of the faculty and staff in the Department of Communication Studies throughout his studies.
In many cultures, the butterfly signifies the soul, which has special significance to the Cohen family - hence the name of the bursary. The Ben Cohen Butterfly Bursary is intended to support deserving newly-admitted full-time students in Communication Studies. Open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents or international students, it may be renewed in subsequent years on the basis of continuing full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic standing.
The Entrance Bursary Program is designed to provide financial support to newly admitted students to an Undergraduate Bachelor's degree program in any discipline of study.
