Barbara and Philip Potash Entrance Bursaries in Fine Arts

Established in 2010, the Barbara and Philip Potash Entrance Bursaries in Fine Arts are intended to encourage and reward Undergraduate full-time students newly-admitted to the Faculty of Fine Arts in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program in any area of study.
Barbara Potash graduated from Concordia University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Major in Visual Arts. She and her husband value higher education and want to assist students to overcome the financial hurdles that may be blocking their road to University. Open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents, this bursary may be renewed on the basis of continuing full-time enrollment and a minimum Last Annual GPA of 2.00.
The Entrance Bursary Program is designed to provide financial support to newly admitted students to an Undergraduate Bachelor's degree program in any discipline of study.
Application deadline The 2024-2025 Undergraduate Entrance Bursary Program will open on March 3, 2024.
To apply to the Entrance Bursary program, an application form must be submitted online along with various supporting documents. Eligibility is determined following a financial needs test, a review of the candidate’s academic ranking as assigned during admission application processing, and a holistic appreciation of the applicant’s personal statements on the entrance bursary application form.
The Entrance Bursary application opens on March 3, 2024 to April 3, 2024.
