Benefit students moving from Shasta College to a four-year university with a goal to complete teacher certification.

California Retired Teachers Association, Division 16 Scholarship benefits students preparing to enter a career in education… who have attended Shasta College for two years. The scholarship is based on financial need and available to students with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher, and involved in extracurricular activities transferring to a 4-year college.

Open Application Window: November – March, annually

• Must be a CURRENT Shasta College student for at least 2 years
• Plan to major in Education with intent to become a teacher
• Will attend a 4-year school the fall semester following application
