Overview

Qualifications: Applicants must have a current, through 3rd marking term, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and have received at least one varsity athletic letter during his/her high school career.

Nature of Award: The amount of the scholarship will be $750.00. In case of a tie, funds will be divided equally.

How to Apply:

Applications are available at Wicomico High School counseling offices or at www.cfes.org. An application is complete, and considered for a scholarship award, only when the following have been submitted:

  1. A completed scholarship application.
  2. Official high school transcript of grades.
  3. Letter of acceptance from college or university.
  4. Applicant may be required to be interviewed by the scholarship committee.

Applications must be submitted to the Wicomico High School counseling offices by April 1

Eligibility

Who May Apply:

Graduating seniors of Wicomico High School who have been accepted for full time admission at a two or four year college or university.

Eligibility:

Candidate(s) with the highest point total(s) will be selected to receive the scholarship.

  1. One point will be given to an applicant who can provide a letter of acceptance from a four year college or university or a two year accredited junior or community college.
  2. One point will be given to a candidate for each time they lettered in a varsity sport.
  3. One point will be given to a candidate for each time they served as a team captain for a season.
  4. One point will be given to a candidate for school citizenship unless they have been suspended out of school during their high school career.
  5. One point will be given to a candidate whose parents or guardian is a current paid member of the high school booster club.
