KACIE & KALIE SPRANKLE SCHOLARSHIP
Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore,
Choice of School: Accredited four-year college or university or accredited two-year institution, with the intent to pursue a four-year degree.
Considerations:
Applicants must plan to pursue a degree in education and have played one or more sports for at least two years at Mardela. Applicants must have a 3.75 or higher cumulative grade point average.
Nature of Award: $500 for one academic year
How to Apply:
Applications are available at www.cfes.org/scholarships or at the Mardela High School guidance office. Completed applications must be submitted to the Mardela High School guidance office no later than April 1st of the current school year to be eligible for fall semester assistance. An application is complete, and considered for a scholarship award, only when the following have been submitted:
- Completed scholarship application
- Official high school transcript of grades
- Letter of acceptance from college or university
- Three letters of recommendation from high school teachers or other non-family members attesting to the sound character, integrity, and commitment to completing a college education
- Typed essay, written by you, that explains or describes:
• What are your goals in life? • How has participation in Mardela athletics prepared you for real-world situations? • What leadership opportunities have you had while at Mardela and what have you learned from them? • List all community service projects you have been involved with during your high school years.
Who May Apply:
Graduating seniors of Mardela High School who have been accepted for admission as a full-time student.
