Considerations:
Applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of three Advanced Placement social studies courses and two additional AP courses during their enrollment at Parkside High School.
Nature of Award: $5,000 for one academic year.
How to Apply:
Applications are available at the Parkside High School guidance office. Completed applications must be submitted to guidance no later than April 1st. To be considered for an award, all of the following must been submitted:
- A completed scholarship application
- Official high school transcript of grades (including AP test scores, SAT & ACT scores)
- Letter of acceptance from college or university
- Essay: If you could meet and talk with a 19th century historic figure, who would it be and why?
- Three letters of recommendation – two from teachers, and one from a non-family member of the community (e.g. guidance counselor, employer, athletic coach, etc.)
- Resume
- Applicant may be required to be interviewed by the Scholarship Advisory Committee.
Who May Apply:
Past graduates or current 12th grade students of Parkside High School, Wicomico County, Maryland who have been accepted for admission as a full-time college student.
