HANCOCK FAMILY SNOW HILL HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore,
Scholarships, renewable for four years, will be awarded to graduating seniors of Snow Hill High School who have demonstrated outstanding concern for the school community, the broader community or their fellow students.
Qualifications:
• Applicants must have 2.5 grade point average in appropriate course work indicating the student is able to be successful at the college level. • Applicant must be a 3 or more year resident of Snow Hill area (Sophomore, Junior and Senior years) • Active in school activity(s) – school government, athletics, band, etc. (in class officer – not required) • Active in community, church, youth clubs, etc. • Must have good moral character – no arrests, drugs, prefer a non-smoker • Must be a leader/role model for younger students and peers • Scholarship is available to low and middle-income students who need financial assistance.
Nature of Award: A scholarship of at least $2,000 with possible second, third and fourth year renewal.
How to Apply:
Applications are available at Snow Hill High School counseling office, the Snow Hill Lion’s Club or at www.cfes.org. An application is complete, and considered for a scholarship award, only when the following have been submitted:
- A completed scholarship application
- Official high school transcript of grades
- Letter of acceptance from college or university
- Two letters of recommendation from non-family members (e.g. teacher, guidance counselor, employer, athletic coach, etc.)
- Applicant may be required to be interviewed by the scholarship committee.
E. Deadline: Applications must be submitted to Snow Hill High School by April 21st.
Who May Apply:
Graduating seniors at Snow Hill High School who have been accepted by an accredited academic college program.
