Green Hill Country Club Scholarship Fund

Choice of School:

Accredited four-year college or university, or accredited two-year educational/vocational institution.

Considerations: Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance, have a

reputation of good character, be a well-rounded citizen and have participated in extra- curricular school or community activities. Successful applicants should demonstrate that they have the maturity and commitment to succeed in college level courses of study.

Nature of Award: The amount of the award will be a minimum of $500 for one academic year.

How to Apply:

Applications are available at CFES.org/scholarships. Completed applications must be submitted to Green Hill Country Club at the address listed on the application no later than April 1 of the current school year to be eligible for fall semester assistance. An application is complete, and considered for a scholarship award, only when the following have been submitted:

1. A completed scholarship application
2. Official high school transcript of grades
3. Letter of acceptance from college or university
4. Two letters of recommendation from non-family members (e.g. teacher, guidance counselor, employer, athletic coach, etc.)
5. A personal essay in 200 words or less explaining why you are applying for this scholarship and what are your career and future education goals.

Applicants may be required to be interviewed by the Scholarship Advisory Committee

Who May Apply:

Applicants must be dependents of members or employees of Green Hill Country Club in Quantico MD. Applicants must be graduates of Wicomico County public or private High Schools who have selected their college and have been accepted for enrollment.
