ALFRED & CLARA MAY TRUITT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Award Amounts:

The donor desires that annual scholarship awards be a minimum of $1,000. How to Apply: Applications are available at www.cfes.org or through the Somerset, Wicomico, or Worcester County Bar Associations. Completed applications must be submitted by no later than June 30th to be considered for a scholarship award, only when the following have been submitted:

1. A completed scholarship application
2. Proof of enrollment from the Francis King Carey School of Law at the University of Maryland or The University of Baltimore School of Law
3. Three letters of recommendation from non-family members
4. Official transcript of grades
5. A one-page essay on “Why I am pursuing a career in Law”
6. Applicants may be required to be interviewed by the Scholarship Advisory Committee.

Other Considerations Preference may be given to applicants with the greatest financial need.

Criteria:

• Residents of Somerset, Wicomico, or Worcester County, MD. • Must be a 1st, 2nd, or 3

rd year student at the Francis King Carey School of Law at the

University of Maryland or The University of Baltimore School of Law. • Candidates must show academic achievement, demonstrate good character, and be a well-rounded US citizen.
