Chris P. Lo Pinto Memorial Scholarship

Purpose: Created to support students who are interested in a career in law enforcement or probation (e.g. police officer, sheriff, probation officer, corrections officer, etc.). This scholarship is awarded to Mendocino County high school seniors or graduates. The scholarship is intended for individuals who are committed to working in Mendocino County communities after receiving their degrees.

Priority: Preference will be given to individuals who have financial need and have demonstrated, through volunteer or extracurricular activities, a desire to serve their communities. Students must have a 2.5-GPA or higher and intend to pursue education at an accredited college, university, or vocational school that will lead to a career in law enforcement or probation.

Requirements: A current Community Foundation online application, high school transcript, and two letters of recommendation from instructors, teachers, coaches, community members, or employers.
