Florence Bennett Memorial Scholarship

Florence Bennett was a longtime resident and respected school teacher in the Wyalusing area who passed at the age of 92 in 1995. Her energy and conveyance of the excitement of discovering knowledge will always be well remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her. The Bennett family established this scholarship to benefit a Wyalusing High School graduate in memory of Florence and her love and devotion to teaching.

• Graduating senior from Wyalusing Area High School.
• Must be pursuing a degree in Science from an accredited college or university in the USA.
• Essay (200-250 words double spaced) about your career aspirations and reason for your interest in science
• Must have achievement, aptitude, and interest in science.
• Two letters of reference from teachers (one must be from your science teacher).
• A transcript of your high school grades
