Kaukauna Community Family of Funds Marie VanDeBruggen Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: (taken into consideration to determine recipients)

• Graduating senior from Kaukauna High School • Has the highest scholastic rating in the graduating class based on GPA: o If more than one student’s grade point averages are identical, the student with the most credits in the core academic area (Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and English) will qualify. If identical, the student who has earned the greatest number of credits in advance placement courses will qualify. o If needed, to determine scholastic rating would be the highest score on the academic standardized college entrance exam provided the students took the same standardized test. o There is no application for this scholarship; the student will be selected by the criteria listed.

Award Amount:

One $1,500 non-renewable scholarship award for tuition expenses.

Selection:

The recipient will be recommended each spring by the Kaukauna High School Counselors. Collecting the Award & Payment Procedure: Recipients must fill out and submit Scholarship Acceptance Form and Scholarship Verification Form through the Scholarship Portal (https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=cffvrscholar). Recipients are required to provide supporting documents as instructed in the Scholarship Verification Form, such as class registration/list with credits listed, proof of major, grade transcript, etc. After approval of online Scholarship Verification Form, the scholarship check will be paid directly to the school the recipient will be attending. The Community Foundation communicates with students via email; it is the student’s responsibility to keep their Scholarship Portal account updated with their current email address.

Loss of Eligibility:

Failure to register as a full-time student for the first semester of the freshman year of college.
