Overview

Background:

Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company has been providing insurance coverage solutions to the jewelry industry for over 100 years. Headquartered in Neenah, Wisconsin, the Company serves commercial and individual policyholders in all 50 states and the provinces of Canada. The Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company Scholarships are awarded exclusively to eligible dependent children and stepchildren of non-executive associates employed at Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company for at least one year, as of April 1.

Eligibility

Eligibility: (taken into consideration to determine recipients)

• Dependent children and stepchildren of non-executive associates employed at Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company for at least one year, as of April 1 • Attends or plans to attend, an accredited technical college, college, or university as a full-time student • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA • Involvement in extracurricular activities and/or employment • Leadership qualities • Students and previous recipients may reapply each year of their undergraduate schooling • Graduate students are INELIGIBLE to apply

Award Amount:

Up to two scholarship awards of $2,000, payable at $1,000 each for first and second semesters for tuition expenses. Students may reapply each year of their undergraduate schooling.

Selection:

Recipients are recommended each spring by the Community Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee.

Collecting the Award & Payment Procedure:

Recipients must fill out and submit Scholarship Acceptance Form and Scholarship Verification Form through the Scholarship Portal (https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=cffvrscholar). Recipients are required to provide supporting documents as instructed in the Scholarship Verification Form, such as class registration/list with credits listed, proof of major, grade transcript, etc. After approval of online Scholarship Verification Form, the scholarship check will be paid directly to the school the recipient will be attending. The Community Foundation communicates with students via email; it is the student’s responsibility to keep their Online Portal account updated with their current email address.

Loss of Eligibility:

Failure to maintain full-time student status with a 3.0 GPA at an accredited technical college, college, or university.
