Geraldine A. Loderbauer Scholarship

Background:

Geraldine (Gerri) Loderbauer grew up on a farm on Loderbauer Road, where the present Kaukauna High School is located. She worked and lived in the area all her life. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1965 and went to work at Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company. While working there, she attended Fox Valley Technical School and graduated in 1991. Gerri strongly believes that each individual is responsible for their own goals and the path to accomplish them. She established this scholarship to support students who have the desire and drive to reach their goals through advanced education in face of everyday challenges.

Eligibility: (taken into consideration to determine recipients)

• Graduating seniors from Kaukauna High School • Planning to attend an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university or technical school as a fulltime student • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA • Demonstrated good moral character and good citizenship • Involvement in extracurricular and community activities

Award Amount:

One $1,750 non-renewable award for tuition expenses for the fall semester.

Selection:

Recipients are recommended each spring by the Kaukauna High School Scholarship Selection Committee.

Collecting the Award & Payment Procedure:

Recipients must fill out and submit Scholarship Acceptance Form and Scholarship Verification Form through the Scholarship Portal (https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=cffvrscholar). Recipients are required to provide supporting documents as instructed in the Scholarship Verification Form, such as class registration/list with credits listed, proof of major, grade transcript, etc. After approval of online Scholarship Verification Form, the scholarship check will be paid directly to the school the recipient will be attending. The Community Foundation communicates with students via email; it is the student’s responsibility to keep their Scholarship Portal account updated with their current email address.

Loss of Eligibility:

Failure to register as a full-time student for the fall semester at an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university, or technical school.
