Appleton Rotary Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility: (taken into consideration to determine recipients)

• Graduating high school seniors from an Appleton public or private high school, including home schooling programs accredited by the Appleton Area School District • Planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university as a full-time student • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA through December 31 • A commitment to community service • Financial need will be considered • Members of the Rotary Club of Appleton and their families are not eligible Award Amount: Up to three $1,000 scholarship awards, renewable annually for up to 4 years (total $4,000), for tuition expenses to an accredited college or university, payable for the 1st semester of college.

Selection:

Recipients are recommended each spring by the Appleton Rotary Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee and the Community Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee. Semifinalists will be required to interview with the committee.

Collecting the Award & Payment Procedure:

Recipients must fill out and submit Scholarship Acceptance Form and Scholarship Verification Form through the Scholarship Portal (https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=cffvrscholar). Recipients are required to provide supporting documents as instructed in the Scholarship Verification Form, such as class registration/list with credits listed, proof of major, grade transcript, etc. After approval of online Scholarship Verification Form, the scholarship check will be paid directly to the school the recipient will be attending. The Community Foundation communicates with students via email; it is the student’s responsibility to keep their Scholarship Online Portal account updated with their current email address.

Loss of Eligibility:

Failure to maintain a full-time student status within an accredited college or university, with a minimum 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale, each year.
