Alfred & Anna Wittmann Memorial Scholarship Fund
Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region
Background:
Anna Wenzel of Rantoul, WI, married Alfred Wittmann of Brillion, WI, in 1930. They started their life together on the Joe Wittmann (Alfred’s father) dairy farm north of Brillion. They had 5 children, Allen, Wayne, Faye, Don and Lee, who all attended Brillion High School. They had 17 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren who attend or attended Brillion High School. During the depression, Anna and Alfred helped many friends and family with food from the farm. The Wittmann descendants share many family gatherings together and genuinely enjoy the celebrations, growth and diversity of the extended group. A granddaughter, Michelle Kilgas currently lives on the family farm. The Wittmann family has created this scholarship to share their good fortune and to promote kindness and generosity in the Brillion community and beyond.
