Overview
To provide financial support for students accepted in the music education program and who have plans to teach in elementary schools. GPA of 3.0 or above and a letter explaining why student deserve the scholarship and describing their plans after graduation.
Qualifications
- Applicant must have an interest in career in as an Elementary School teacher.
- Applicant must be enrolled in music education major with plans to teach in elementary schools.major
- Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Applicant must have junior or senior standing in the upcoming academic year.
How to Apply
The Scholarship Central general application is available to all current students and to new CWU applicants with access to the MyCWU student portal.
Once you complete the general application, you will be added to the applicant pool of one or more scholarships. Some may have additional requirements: an essay, letters of recommendation, etc. As long as you complete those requirements by the deadline, you can be considered for the scholarship.
A few scholarships will direct you to an academic department or other office to complete the application. Scholarship Central shows you meet the minimum qualifications but you will need follow up with those contacts to be considered.
