John and Jan Ludtka Scholarship

Overview

To provide financial support for students from Douglas, Chelan, or Kittitas Counties who intend to major in journalism, photo/digital journalism, and/or mass communications.

Qualifications

• Applicant must have graduated from a Central or Eastern Washington high school.
• Applicants who are first year or transfer students will be prioritized.
• Applicant must have an interest in career in journalism, photo/digital journalism, and/or mass communications.
• Applicants must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better.

How to Apply

The Scholarship Central general application is available to all current students and to new CWU applicants with access to the MyCWU student portal.

Once you complete the general application, you will be added to the applicant pool of one or more scholarships. Some may have additional requirements: an essay, letters of recommendation, etc. As long as you complete those requirements by the deadline, you can be considered for the scholarship.

A few scholarships will direct you to an academic department or other office to complete the application. Scholarship Central shows you meet the minimum qualifications but you will need follow up with those contacts to be considered.
