Butler County Scholarship

The Butler County Scholarship is available to graduating African American seniors of Butler County Schools. One scholarship will be awarded with the amount determined annually. Recipients may apply to renew the scholarship for three additional years.

Required Attachments:

• Essay describing your college and career goals

• Letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, or extracurricular instructor in the school (such as choir director, band director, etc.)

• Transcript Selection Criteria:

• Academic achievement

• Community engagement

• Extracurricular activities

• Demonstrated leadership

• Financial need

• Preference for students planning a STEM field of study

Eligibility Criteria:

• Graduating seniors from Georgiana School, Greenville High School, or McKenzie School.
• African American
• Must plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or university
