Overview

Father John M. Riffel established this bursary in memory of his wife and of their pioneer parents, Anton and Katherina Riffel, and Benedict and Magdalena Deis.

This bursary will be awarded annually in September to a first-year Campion student who has obtained a minimum 75% high school early conditional average.

The bursary is based on financial need, academic achievement, and extra-curricular activities.

How to apply:

  • Look at all scholarships and make note of the ones you wish to apply for.
  • Review the criteria for each award and make note of what they require.
  • Personal statement: tell the selection committee why you would be an appropriate recipient for the award(s) for which you have applied, a maximum of 500 words. Have this statement written and ready to upload.
  • Financial information: this will include a list of expenses and methods of financing. Have this information ready to input into the application form.
  • Volunteer and extracurricular activities: this will require you to list organizations, dates, and hours of service. Have this information ready to input into the application form.
  • Some awards will also require additional letters of support or specific essays. Have these saved and ready to upload.
  • Fill in the online application.
  • Complete the form and be sure to include all relevant sections and attachments for the scholarship(s) for which you are applying.
  • Simply submit it at the end. NOTE: You can save your progress and return to your online application.
  • When you submit, you should receive an email to the address you provided with an acknowledgement of receipt of your application.
