Yayasan Khazanah

Yayasan Khazanah is a foundation established by Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the investment holding arm of the Government of Malaysia.

It is entrusted with the selection and support of exceptional individuals who will eventually take on high-level positions in the best organisations in Malaysia, including the Government-Linked Companies.

This mission is in line with Khazanah Nasional’s commitment to the active development of human capital to ensure that Malaysia continues to develop its competitiveness on the global stage.

Yayasan Khazanah works with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Khazanah Cambridge Scholarship, which is available to Malaysian undergraduate and postgraduate applicants in a range of academic subjects.

This scholarship is available to applicants from Malaysia, for both undergraduate and postgraduate study. It is tenable at any College.

• College Fee (for undergraduates)
• Annual stipend (sufficient for a single person)
• One return economy airfare

C onditions

• Undergraduate applicants should be under 20 years of age
• Postgraduate applicants should be under 40 years of age
• Successful applicants will be required to return to work in Malaysia for the number of years equal to the length of their scholarship (minimum 2 years)
• Any academic subject (excluding Medicine) will be considered, but priority will be given to applications in:
• Biosciences:
• Bioengineering
• Bioinformatics
• Biotechnology
• Molecular Biology
• Genomics
• Business
• Economics
• Electronics
• Engineering
• Finance
• Law
• Material Sciences
• Nanotechnology
• Public Health

How to apply

Candidates are selected by Khazanah (not the Trust)

To ensure that they are considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

• check with Yayasan Khazanah the funding call deadlines and details of the application process, and apply accordingly; and
• apply for admission to the University of Cambridge by the funding deadline specific to their course (please refer to the Postgraduate Course Directory)
