Music Performance Scholarship
Black Hills State University
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Music Teaching - Instrumental or vocal. Preference will be given to a student who is in the top 40% of their graduating class, recommended by their HS music teacher, and actively involved in one or more of the following groups: Concert Choir, Concert Band, Black Hills Singers, Black Hills Gold, Jazz Band, Dakota Chamber Orchestra, Pep Band. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
BHSU SCHOLARSHIPS OF DISTINCTION BHSU’s Scholarships of Distinction program awards merit scholarships of up to $4,000 per year to qualifying new first-time undergraduate students, while funds are available.
Awards Based On: Unweighted High School GPA and ACT/SAT Composite Scores or a Test Optional pathway.
Requirements:
- Apply for admission to BHSU prior to February 1st.
- First-time undergraduate students only (no prior attendance at any college or university, after high school graduation).
- Seeking a degree from BHSU (Non-degree seeking are not eligible).
