BHSU Fallbeck and Timmons Academic Scholarship
Black Hills State University
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student with a 3.00 GPA or higher and who has completed a minimum of 45 credit hours. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA and to submit two essays: The first, 1,000 words explaining the reason they are attending college, how they chose their major, and their career goals. The second, 500 words explaining the difficulties a non-traditional student faces when returning to college. My plan for overcoming those difficulties and how this scholarship will help me implement my plan.
BHSU SCHOLARSHIPS OF DISTINCTION BHSU’s Scholarships of Distinction program awards merit scholarships of up to $4,000 per year to qualifying new first-time undergraduate students, while funds are available.
Awards Based On: Unweighted High School GPA and ACT/SAT Composite Scores or a Test Optional pathway.
Requirements:
- Apply for admission to BHSU prior to February 1st.
- First-time undergraduate students only (no prior attendance at any college or university, after high school graduation).
- Seeking a degree from BHSU (Non-degree seeking are not eligible).
