Overview

John Greenwald, former principal of Clear Fork Elementary, feels that he has “grown personally and professionally from his work” and wanted to find a way to repay that “caring, supportive community.” He fully funded this scholarship endowment and continues to make additional donations. The income will be used for a scholarship for a graduate of a Raleigh County high school who demonstrates good moral character and attended Clear Fork District Elementary School. Quoting Mr. Rogers, John indicated, “The real issue in life is not how many blessings we have, but what we do with our blessings.”

Eligibility
  • College qualified graduates of a Raleigh County high school who demonstrates good moral character.
  • Must have attended Clear Fork District Elementary School for at least three years.

Renewable: Yes; for three years if the student maintains a “B” average and carries a full academic load.
